Huw Evans to be KPMG UK’s Head of Insurance

KPMG in the UK has appointed Huw Evans as its incoming Head of Insurance. Huw will replace Trevor Jones from April 2024, as Trevor retires from the firm. 

Prior to joining KPMG in January 2022 as a Partner in its insurance practice, Huw held the position of Director General at the Association of British Insurers (ABI). During his time at the ABI, Huw represented the industry through Brexit, the government’s Solvency II proposals, pension freedoms and the COVID-19 pandemic.

Earlier in his career, Huw served as a special adviser to Prime Minister Tony Blair and Home Secretary David Blunkett and spent time in the banking sector.
