Katie is a Partner in KPMG’s UK firm and is Head of our Governance, Risk & Compliance Services practice. She has over 20 years’ experience providing internal audit, governance, risk, control and assurance services to clients operating in the UK and globally. Predominantly focussed in Banking, Katie has also worked extensively across the Insurance (Life and Non-Life), Asset Management and FinTech sectors. She has also delivered similar engagements to clients operating in the Power & Utilities, Life Sciences, Consumer Markets and Industrial Manufacturing sectors in her UK leadership role. She represents the UK firm on KPMG’s Global leadership team for the practice and actively contributes to our international agenda. Katie helps clients to keep pace with the evolving expectations of internal and external stakeholders in respect of internal audit, governance, risk and control matters, including in response to UK Corporate Governance Reform. She has worked across the first, second and third lines of defence and interfaced directly with prudential and conduct regulators in the UK and globally to understand, interpret and manage expectations. Katie is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and a member of the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors. She is an active supporter of KPMG's Network of Women and a senior sponsor of KPMG’s Black Lives Action Plan with responsibility for mentoring a number of female and Black heritage colleagues. As a senior female Partner and mentor, Katie is a role model for diversity and inclusion and supports the professional development of many of our most ambitious, talented diverse groups.
