Client Challege:

An automotive supplier requested KPMG to transform their current procurement function into a leading organization and develop their future strategy, followed by a procurement cost reduction project.

KPMG Response:

•  KPMG analyzed the current procurement function in all aspects and developed a new organizational structure, separated strategic, tactical and operational processes and defined future roles and profiles.
• In the next part of the engagement KPMG designed, developed and implemented the new purchasing and category strategies (category management).
• Finally KPMG supported the client in identifying cost reduction initiatives after analyzing categories in direct and indirect good spends (spend transparency) and helped to achieve 12 % cost reduction by renegotiations of existing supplier conditions.

Client Challege:

KPMG conducted a project with a leading mobile network operator to construct a central organization for finance and controlling with the aim of increasing quality and efficiency while reducing costs.

KPMG helped the client to define a high-level process and quality management framework, supported the centralization and location consolidation onshore and planning of relocation of selected activities abroad.
