Matthias shapes the global digital economy by supporting his clients in managing (personal) data in a responsible, safe and secure way and in operating cyber resilient digital infrastructures. He works with organizations globally and from across sectors - particularly financial services, technology and telecommunications - to successfully navigate major transformation programs by managing cyber, information, privacy and technology risks.

Matthias brings more than 20 years of experience in these fields of expertise. Matthias is also a member of KPMG’s Global Cyber Security Leadership as well as KPMG Switzerland’s Digital Board.
In October 2016 Matthias was voted one of Switzerland’s 100 most influential “Digital Shapers” by Bilanz, a leading Swiss business publication.

Prior to joining KPMG, Matthias conducted research on communications systems and cyber security at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zurich) and as a research scholar at the Beckman Institute of Advanced Studies of University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. He began his professional career as a microchip engineer in 1998.
