KPMG International and KPMG in Canada were awarded the Azure Business Transformation Win of the Year by Microsoft Corp., in recognition of an outstanding business win with a major Canadian-based insurance client. KPMG, the only professional services organization to win one of the four awards given to global partners, received the honor at the 2016 Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference held recently in Toronto.
The Azure award recognizes Microsoft global partners who achieve exceptional business wins for the Microsoft Azure platform, which is Microsoft’s cloud computing platform for building, deploying, and managing applications and services through a global network.
“We are delighted to receive this marvelous recognition for KPMG in Canada’s successful win with a leading insurance client,” said Jens Rassloff, Global Head of Alliances and a partner with KPMG in Germany. “This award is a testament to the commitment member firm teams have for helping clients make a successful and seamless transition to the cloud. We congratulate the KPMG- Canadian alliance team for their excellent effort on this.”
Currently, over 40 KPMG member firms have dedicated teams working with Microsoft in the areas of data and analytics (D&A), cloud transformation and compliance (CTC), customer relationship management (CRM) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) to help clients transform their businesses and accelerate growth in a trusted cloud environment.
“We’re especially proud of this award,” said Jeff Smith, Managing Partner, Advisory, KPMG in Canada. “The amazing collaboration achieved by our alliance team enabled us to help our client get a technology solution that will help them address some critical challenges as they make the transition to the cloud.”
