Christie has 10 years experience as an economist working on African countries, with a specific focus on Southern Africa. His work as a macroeconomist has included the analysis of exchange rates, economic policy (including fiscal and monetary issues), economic growth, foreign investment trends, sovereign risk and market/industry dynamics. Christie also has experience in sector-specific research, including mining, agriculture, transport, manufacturing, financial services and construction. His opinions have regularly been quoted in local and international news media.
