Gavin de Lange

Gavin is Partner with 24 years of experience in Financial Services, Audit and Financial Risk Management Advisory Services. My current role is the Chief Operating Officer of KPMG Southern Africa. Alongside the KPMG global team, he is executing a business plan to restore the South African practice to financial sustainability through cost saving initiatives, procurement savings and resource optimisation. To date we have stabilised the practice in the most challenging circumstances and have reduced the cost base by 28%. He has experience in the Financial Services Markets, predominantly in corporate and investment banking and global markets clients providing assurance and advisory services. In addition, his roles have ranged from acting as the engagement partner leading global audit deliveries to delivering specialist advisory services for complex derivative and accounting instruments at both banking and corporate treasury clients.
