KPMG in South Africa

Lisa leads KPMG’s Human and Social Services (HSS) practice, which provides advisory services to government and public sector clients whose core missions are to improve the socio-economic well-being of communities and protect and empower the marginalised and disadvantaged. Lisa has served all levels of public sector organizations in South Africa, the US and the UK, including national, provincial/state and local government, the United Nations, and multinational not for profit (NFP), private foundations and non-governmental organizations (NGO). She has worked across Africa, including Senegal, Kenya, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Uganda and Rwanda. Lisa’s experience is in evaluations, strategy, operations, and project and programme management. In particular, she has advised clients on improving efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery, including performance improvement, governance, human resource management, change management, shared services, internal audit and compliance, risk management, and public private partnerships. Lisa holds a master’s degree in public sector management and service delivery, and a bachelor’s degree in economics. Women’s empowerment is a personal passion. While based in New York City, Lisa led a social and emotional empowerment programme for vulnerable girls aged 8-13 years old in a low income neighbourhood in Harlem. She is also a mentor through the Global Give Back Circle, a Clinton Global Initiative programme.
