EU Regulation Implementation Handbook

EU Regulation Implementation Handbook

The EU Regulation Implementation Handbook covers EMIR, MIFIR/MIFID, MAR/MAD and the related flow of standards and guidance being issued by the ESMA.

The EU Regulation Implementation Handbook covers EMIR, MIFIR/MIFID, MAR/MAD and more...

Firms and market infrastructures are facing a major regulatory change agenda over the next two, possibly three, years, which will have a major impact on all their business lines, systems and controls, documentation, compliance reporting functions and customer relations.

In order to assist their members with timely and comprehensive implementation of all the regulatory changes, APCIMS, EFET, FOA and WMBA have combined together with Clifford Chance and KPMG to develop a business-friendly, web-based implementation handbook, covering the European Markets Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR); the Markets in Financial Instruments Regulation and Directive (MiFIR/D); the Market Abuse Regulation and Directive (MAR/MAD); and the market integrity rules of the Regulation on Energy Market Integrity and Transparency (REMIT), together with the supporting technical standards and guidance that will be issued by the European Supervisory Authorities.

The Handbook will cover all wholesale and retail market-facing products and services and will be regularly updated to reflect the regulatory change agenda as it is developed and finalized. Implementation checklists, action points and guidance on all difficult/key areas of implementation will be included once the agenda becomes clearer and more capable of practical implementation.

If you are an employee of a regulated firm that is an Ordinary Member of the FOA and would like to access the Handbook, please contact Sally Hughes at the Futures and Options Association (FOA) or any of the participating associations.
