KPMG International's shared services and outsourcing advisory practice has received all-star ratings in all judging categories on the International Association of Outsourcing Professional's (IAOP) 2018 World's Best Outsourcing Advisors list. KPMG was also designated a Super Star for Sustained Excellence due to its placement on the list for the last 5 consecutive years.

The judges - who included executives and professors from the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management, GE, Halyard Health, the MITRE Corp., Sprint and Thomson Reuters - used a rigorous methodology to award KPMG with perfect scores in all the major judging categories, including Customer References, Programs for Corporate Social Responsibility, and Programs for Innovation categories. IAOP describes the last category as being “demonstrated through specific multi-client programs and resulting in outcomes that produce new forms of value for customers.”

“All aspects of the outsourcing industry have changed dramatically since IAOP established the World's Best Outsourcing Advisor list 10 years ago,” said David J. Brown, Global Lead, KPMG Shared Services and Outsourcing Advisory, KPMG International. “Our placement on the list every year since its inception recognizes our ability to evolve our methodologies, capabilities and thought leadership to address clients' transformational needs in the midst of the most disruptive environment since the Industrial Revolution.”

Demonstrating its broad and deep global advisory capabilities, KPMG's customer references were for shared services, digital and IT transformation programs with insurance, finance and public sector clients in Canada, Europe and the US.

In the Programs for Innovation judging category, KPMG highlighted its:

Center of Excellence for Data & Analytics and Intelligent Automation which enables the delivery of analytic capabilities seamlessly across geographies and member firms to bring the right services and talent to clients. The data & analytics professionals take a business-first perspective, helping solve complex business challenges across all the key drivers of organizational value including growth, risk and performance. The result is trusted analytics solutions and services that business leaders can believe in to help increase revenue, reduce costs and manage risk throughout the enterprise.

GBS Consortium Program which enables GBS leaders in four industries - life sciences, consumer markets, technology, media and telecommunications (TMT), and industrial manufacturing - to network, benchmark, share challenges and successes, and investigate new trends and innovation. The Consortium members meet face-to-face twice a year at two-day KPMG-facilitated events featuring a mix of industry and cross-industry sessions, and on monthly phone calls devoted to member-selected topics.

Peer Exchange Networks which are secure forums that connect CXOs from some of the most influential Fortune-ranked organizations in an unbiased and informative setting. Members are able to engage with their peers, share and explore topics of their choosing, learn from their contemporaries' insight and experience, and evolve their organizations, programs and decision making to meet the leading practices and professional guidance revealed during Peer Exchange interactions. KPMG currently operates five Peer Exchanges: Chief Tax Officer, Chief Compliance Officer, Alternative Investment Funds for Tax, Board Member and Chief Financial Officer.
