KPMG International announced today that Forrester Research has named it a Leader among insights service providers.
“KPMG cracked the code for balancing business and technology expertise. KPMG comes to the table with an impressive portfolio of data and analytics capabilities, brought together in its Lighthouse center of excellence (CoE),” wrote the report’s authors in The Forrester Wave™: Insights Service Providers, Q1 2017. “KPMG’s broad ecosystem is the gold standard among insights service providers.”
According to Forrester’s classifications, “Leaders [have] both strong current offerings and compelling strategies. These providers already deliver comprehensive analytics services, effective insights-to-execution support, and impressive partner ecosystems. They represent the top choices for strategic insights partners.”
Forrester noted the work KPMG’s teams have done in establishing the importance of trusted analytics.
“Recognizing the importance of trust in an insights provider, KPMG’s comprehensive approach to bridging a potential ‘trust gap’ includes collaboration to define business objectives, design engagements and deliver results. Compelling decision tools present insights, alternative actions, and potential outcomes, and differentiate KPMG’s implementation support,” the report said.
Christian Rast, Global Head of Data & Analytics and a partner with KPMG in Germany said that the organization’s conceptual approach to analytics is the key to overcoming the lack of trust in analytics that many business leaders have expressed in the firm’s research.
“As we rely more and more on the insights data and analytics can provide us, we must also be aware that a trust deficit exists among company executives; our research shows us that business leaders lack confidence in their ability to measure the effectiveness and impact of data and analytics, and mistrust the analytics used to help drive decision making. To address this ‘trust gap,’ we rely on a framework comprising four trust anchors: quality, effectiveness, integrity and resilience,” Rast said.
