KPMG has announced the integration of technology company ZINK Security
“The incorporation of ZINK Security’s proprietary technology, coupled with its extensive expertise, will enable us to play a key role in Cyber intelligence services and solutions,” says Marc Martínez, Information Security and Business Continuity partner at KPMG in Spain.
Specifically, this integration will allow KPMG to investigate and monitor events, information leaks, relationships between people, groups, entities etc. through information available on social networks, forums, blogs, news sites and deep web, as well as other remotely accessible repositories, to assist companies in monitoring, analysing and managing the mass of information generated daily.
“Nowadays, the digitalisation of companies and the explosion of digital content on internet and social networks have substantially raised companies’ exposure to new cybersecurity risks and attacks. 24/7 digital surveillance of companies has become essential,” continued Marc Martínez.
In the past eight months, KPMG has invested substantially internationally in strengthening its cyber capabilities. This includes acquisitions of First Point Global, a leading identity and Access management (IAM) consultancy operating in Australia; Qubera, also an IAM operating in the USA, UK and India; P3 Consulting, a Frankfurt-based security boutique consultancy; and most recently Finnish cyber security business, Trusteq Oy – which also specialises in IAM services and security transformation.
