Poland: Draft measures on taxpayer rights, collection

Draft measures (released in a draft tax ordinance) have goals concerning the: (1) protection of taxpayer rights; and (2) increased efficiency of tax collection.

New legal mechanisms would be introduced for protecting a taxpayer’s position with respect to the tax authorities, including methods for resolving tax disputes. To address tax collection, there are new procedures including a simplified tax procedure in “low value cases” and a requirement for cooperation between the tax authorities and taxpayers.
