After hearing from investors in London, we took the Value of Audit discussion to the International Corporate Governance Network's (ICGN's) conference in Kuala Lumpur conference on 12 July 2017 where Mun Kong Foong, Head of Audit for KPMG in Malaysia and Mark Vaessen, Partner for KPMG in Netherlands hosted a session with audit committee chairs, investors, Roger Tay, Head of Audit for KPMG in Singapore and Takuji Kanai, Head of Audit for KPMG in Japan on advancing the governance agenda. In a second session, Mun Kong moderated a panel of investors and Mark Vaessen on addressing the negative implications of short-term strategies.
