FATCA report, withholding tax forms and instructions

The IRS has posted draft and final versions of forms to be used to report FATCA and withholding tax obligations for the 2017 tax year.

A draft version [PDF 105 KB] of Form 8966, FATCA Report, is available on the IRS website. The draft is dated “as of July 21, 2017,” and includes cautionary language that it is not to be relied upon for filing purposes and is subject to change and to OMB approval before being officially released.

The IRS also has posted the following final versions of withholding tax information returns and related instructions for 2017. All show a revision date of July 2017.
