Nigeria: Tax authority restricts revenue agents

The Rivers State tax authority has taken steps to address issues of multiple taxation and issues that taxpayers have faced in the state.

One step taken by the state tax authority is to order certain revenue agents to desist from acting in the name of the tax authority. Also, taxpayers have been advised to stop dealing with the identified revenue agents, but to pay their taxes directly to the state tax authority.
