Nigeria: No new taxes, no rate changes in 2017 budget

The 2017 budget, as presented to the National Assembly in late 2016, does not propose to change tax rates or impose new taxes in 2017.

While there are no significant changes to tax and regulatory policies in the 2017 budget proposals, the government intends to broaden the tax base, to improve the effectiveness of the revenue-collection agencies, and to focus on tax compliance. Consequently, increased audit activity can be expected, with particular focus on transfer pricing.
