Mexico: FATCA regulatory amendments

The Mexican tax authority issued an amended version of FATCA regulations (referred to in English as “Annex 25 of the Fiscal Miscellaneous Resolution for 2016”) with measures intended to assist Mexican financial institutions with implementation of the FATCA regime.

The amended regulations are also intended to align the FATCA rules with additional provisions concerning the common reporting standard (CRS).
