Mexico’s tax administration (Servicio de Administración Tributaria) in January 2017 issued guidance setting forth standards for compliance with the rule for electronically or digitally provided tax receipts.

  • Digital tax receipt provided via the internet 
  • Digital verification methods

There is a requirement for taxpayers to issue tax receipts for certain business activities, and failure to satisfy this requirement can result in penalty assessments.
