France: Procedures for financial institutions under CRS

The Ministry of Economy and Finance published Decree No. 2016-1983 (7 December 2016) to establish rules and procedures to be followed by French financial institutions and account holders with respect to the automatic exchange of information on financial accounts under the common reporting standard (CRS).

The decree includes, among other things, provisions related to its scope; definitions of financial accounts and reportable accounts; account identifications; and reporting obligations.
