Panama: IGA under FATCA regime enacted into law

Law No. 47 was published in the official gazette (No. 28145-A) to enact into Panamanian domestic law the intergovernmental agreement (IGA) between Panama and the United States for purposes of implementing the FATCA regime.

The IGA was signed in April 2016, and Law No.47 of 2016 implements the IGA in Panamanian law, effective 24 October 2016 (as date of enactment).
