Canada: Additional 15% transfer tax, foreign buyers of Vancouver property

Canada: Additional 15% transfer tax, Vancouver property

British Columbia introduced a 15% property transfer tax for foreign buyers of residential property in the Greater Vancouver Regional District. This additional 15% tax, which will apply to all applicable transfers registered with the Land Title Office on or after 2 August 2016, is in addition to the general property transfer tax.
