OECD: Webcast discussions about BEPS, tax transparency

The Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) today hosted a webcast, during which recent and upcoming developments in the OECD's international tax work were examined.

During the webcast, OECD officials described the latest tax updates. For instance, there were discussions concerning:

  • The base erosion and profit shifting (BEPS) project and a BEPS project update
  • Tax transparency including discussions about the effect of the “Panama papers” and progress towards a global “level playing field” through enhanced transparency
