Serbia: Individual income tax; returns due 16 May

Individual taxpayers who are required to file an income tax return in Serbia need to note the due date for the 2015 return is 16 May 2016.

The income tax return is to be filed in electronic format, and prior to filing the return, it is necessary to obtain an electronic certificate to have access to an electronic portal on the tax authorities’ website.

Tax residents of Serbia pay income tax on their worldwide income, whereas tax non-residents are to report and pay income tax on income generated in Serbian territory.
