IRS forum on taxpayer service

IRS forum on taxpayer service

IRS National Taxpayer Advocate Nina Olson today convened the first in a series of public forums on taxpayer service. Today’s forum topic focused on what taxpayers want and need from the IRS to comply with the tax laws, and more specifically, on taxpayer and stakeholder needs and preferences for IRS consideration as the IRS develops and refines a plan to define the IRS’s “future state” initiative—a plan to define what the IRS will look like in five years (and beyond).

As noted in the IRS release announcing today’s forum, the panelists addressing the forum include Timothy McCormally, Director, KPMG’s Washington National Tax practice and vice chair of the IRS Advisory Committee (IRSAC).
