BIS: “One-stop shop” for export control data, analysis

A “data portal” launched by the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) provides a resource of aggregate information on licensing and export data trends.

The BIS data portal is positioned as a “one-stop shop” for export control data and analysis. It features separate webparts on:

  • exporter compliance
  • controlled trade with select countries
  • export control reform
  • BIS licensing
  • US defense industrial base analysis.

In announcing the availability of the data portal, BIS stated that this will make it easier to access, analyze and use Commerce Department data and will increase efficiency, effectiveness and security of programs.
