The extended deadline is to allow Jersey financial institutions more time regarding implementation of the intergovernmental agreement provisions. The first filing deadline of 30 June 2015 will be extended to 31 July 2015 upon request. If a “Jersey reporting financial institution” has registered on the Jersey AEOI online portal, the tax authorities announced that if a reasoned request is made for an extension of the reporting period until 31 July 2015, the financial institution may expect for the request to be considered sympathetically.
