Singapore: Rental property, claiming “deemed” expenses

Singapore's budget for 2015 included a provision that property owners who derive passive rental income from residential property can elect to claim rental expenses on a “deemed” basis (in lieu of actual expenses) for purposes of determining net taxable income.
