Bob’s key experience and responsibilities include the audit of large multinational client, and the coordination and project management of teams on large cross border non-audit projects. Bob is an IFRS advisory partner on a number of KPMG’s clients and acts as a reporting accountant on IPO work. Bob has worked across a number of industries with the principal ones being mining, technology and telecommunications. From 1 October 2014, Bob is the KPMG UK Head of Mining and a member of KPMG’s Global Mining Steering group. Bob’s clients have included both public listed groups as well as large privately owned groups. His technology clients have included RICOH Europe plc, Smartmatic and Imagination Technologies PLC. His telecommunication clients have included BT, O2, Thus, Energis, Geo Networks, Lebara and Eaton Towers. In mining, Bob has served Anglo American, Lonmin and Billiton. In addition to these clients, he has led teams with in the transport sector for clients such as RAC plc, Swissair and Wizzair. The IPOs and related Stock Exchange reporting requirements of the South African mining group, Billiton plc (FTSE50), and McBride plc to the London Stock Exchange and the subsequent audits thereof. Prior to Bob’s promotion to partner, he was seconded to ICI as their Senior Finance Manager. His responsibilities included the leadership, management and development of a professional team which managed the corporate reporting process worldwide within ICI as well as liaising with executive board directors and senior management to interpret business performance and ad-hoc project and in-house advisory work including ICI’s disposal programme with Goldman Sachs.
