Michael is KPMG’s National Energy Leader, a member of KPMG’s National Markets Committee and an audit partner based in Calgary. Michael is also one of KPMG’s Securities Reviewing Partners. He has over 25 years of experience in serving the energy industry and provides audit services to a wide variety of public and private oil and gas exploration and production companies and energy service companies operating in Canada, the US and internationally, including a number of foreign national oil companies with Canadian assets. He has a wealth of knowledge of the Canadian oil and gas industry and has managed a number of international assignments on behalf of clients. While Michael focuses on auditing and accounting issues, he has also been involved in transaction related services and provided advice on a considerable number of acquisitions, financings, reverse take-overs and other expansion and acquisition activities. Michael is a board member of the Energy Council of Canada and a board of trustee at the Calgary Zoo.
