Bisi Lamikanra has over 34 years of professional experience that spans diverse industries and sectors of the economy including financial services. She is the Head of the Management Consulting practice of KPMG in Nigeria and doubles as the head of the financial services sector across Africa. Bisi has provided management consulting and business advisory services for various public and private sector clients within Nigeria, Africa and globally and has led several advisory projects in the financial services space, majorly in the banking sector and for other financial services entities on strategy advisory, corporate planning, enterprise-wide transformation, business integration, customer service delivery improvement and transformation, retail and wholesale banking repositioning, etc. As Head of Financial Services in Africa, Bisi leads the FS team in harnessing the Pan-African opportunities existing in the FS industry landscape, as part of KPMG’s Project Africa initiative. The initiative is a platform to build the strong KPMG brand in the continent, while proffering high value solutions to clients in the region. Bisi champions e-payment services in KPMG in Nigeria, in line with the vision of the Central Bank of Nigeria. She has assisted with the development of business operating models for institutional banking electronic services and retail banking, incorporating leading practices from banks in other jurisdictions as well as roadmap development for the FS sector. She has also assisted various FS clients on turnaround projects to reposition them on the path for a sustainable growth and profitability and has facilitated and presented papers on stay-awake/topical banking and financial issues at several fora.
