Tom Kostopoulos

Tom is an audit partner in KPMG’s private enterprise group and has over 20 years of audit experience serving clients in the automotive dealer sector, transportation and logistics, retail, distribution services and manufacturing industries ranging from small owner managed businesses to large multinationals. Tom was instrumental in the development, testing and training of the KPMG software created by KPMG to assist in the auditing of private enterprise clients. He has extensive experience in converting audit clients to this platform. Tom is known by many of his clients as a trusted business advisor and is often called upon to provide guidance on all types of private client matters including sales and acquisitions, operational improvement matters and general business advice. Tom currently sits on the GTA Audit Leadership Team and is the Enterprise Delivery Business Unit Leader for the GTA. Tom also has a large automotive client base including transportation and logistics companies and is the leader of the GTA automotive dealer space. Tom is often consulted on many issues involving the automotive and transportation industry and he continues to be very active in this area. Tom has also been appointed as the auditor for the Automotive Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC) Car of the Year awards since 2007 and has written articles for the CADA on recent automotive topics and accounting advice.
