KPMG in the U.S.
Anuj grew up in California but moved to Mumbai, India while still in high school – moving continents was an experience that has fueled his love for travel. After undergrad, he returned to California to pursue a career in public accounting as a CPA. This experience helped Anuj realize that he wanted to focus his career in professional services. On graduating with an MBA, Anuj joined one of the other Big Four consulting firms, focusing on life sciences strategy. He joined KPMG in the US’s Global Strategy Group, inspired by the challenge of building a global yet differentiated strategy business. Over the last year, Anuj has been part of the Strategy Center of Excellence (CoE) leading global Learning & Development initiatives for GSG and acting as regional lead for the Americas. This experience has allowed Anuj to understand the rapid change impacting the strategy consulting market from both traditional and disruptive competitors. Clients are increasingly demanding implementable strategies that blend in data, analytics and design thinking, in order to generate market-leading insights and ideas faster than ever before. To be a successful GSG practitioner, Anuj believes that it’s important to continually broaden your perspective – adaptability and creativity are key enablers of success. His advice to anyone looking to join GSG is simple: approach every situation with an open mind and develop your network – get as wide an experience as possible as every project is a learning opportunity.
