Ron Gardoll

Partner, Advisory

KPMG Australia

Ron brings a blend of public sector and private sector expertise to his work. As Partner in Charge of KPMG’s Transformation Program Management team, he typically leads extensive transformation programs for the firm’s largest clients. These are often on the back of a major structural change, acquisition or merger, core system replacement and/or culture change program. Ron also heads the Program Management Services Office for the financial service industry’s New Payments Platform. Instrumental in its design has been the staging of multiple U-Collaborate events – a KPMG transformation technique used to engage large groups, in this case, 12 financial institutions that are traditionally competitors. “With large transformational programs you have to make sure people are committed to the change. The way to do that is to ensure they are involved in the design.”

Ron believes you are only as good as the team that works for you. Supporting diversity is a large part of this. “I believe in equal opportunity for everybody and making sure those opportunities are challenging and exciting.”

Ron has begun to learn the cello in his spare time. “I now understand what a challenge it is. Twinkle Twinkle Little Star has never sounded so bad.” His family seems to agree.
