Martin has more than twenty years of experience in the industrial, manufacturing and distribution sectors where he has worked with many premier, multinational public and private companies in the areas of tax advisory, tax compliance tax audit defense and tax accounting. He is currently the Tax Practice Leader – Consumer and Industrial Markets in Toronto, Ontario, a practice that supports many large international organizations in the Automotive, Metals, Aerospace and Defense and Industrial Products sectors. Martin is also the Aerospace and Defense Leader for the Greater Toronto Area. Martin’s experience in the steel and automotive sectors has focused on key tax issues facing clients in those industries, including tax reporting and regulation, and direct and indirect tax implications related to market entry and expansion. He also has a broad range of due diligence and international tax structuring experience dealing with tax minimization, transfer pricing and the establishment of tax effective financing in the context of mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, initial public offerings and restructuring for a variety of consumer and industrial market companies.
