Clay leads KPMG’s Major Projects Advisory practice and has over 24 years of practical experience and research, giving him a deep understanding of how organizations can improve the performance of their construction portfolios, programs and projects by empowering their teams, enabling technology and rationalizing governance and oversight. He has been at the forefront of KPMG’s efforts to advance industry-leading methods and tools to objectively benchmark project management controls and overall project readiness. Additionally, Clay is also on the cutting-edge of applying advanced data and analytics to improve transparency, and make better use of the vast data sets associated with major construction projects and large-scale facility operations. A recognized industry thought leader, Clay has published over 30 papers on topics ranging from portfolio optimization, governance & project controls, construction risk mgmt., data and analytics, mega-project management to so-called ‘black swans.’
