KPMG in India
While pursuing her MBA at SP Jain Institute of Management & Research in Mumbai, Tanya was a finance student with a keen interest in strategy. This resulted in Tanya applying for and accepting a role with KPMG in India’s Deal Strategy practice. Three years later, after various positions in Deal Advisory and exposure to a wide array of client engagements, Tanya continues to enjoy providing strategy advice to clients on their most complex and critical issues. The role has enabled Tanya to travel all over India and globally for work and global training programs. This has expanded her understanding and strength of the Global Strategy Group capabilities and presence. Tanya believes that GSG’s capabilities in designing and implementing strategies enables it to add significant value to clients. In recent years, Tanya has seen the Global Strategy Group in India effectively leverage the 9 Levers of Value framework when interacting with clients. She believes it gives GSG a unique selling point, while also facilitating effective communication and collaboration across GSG country teams. Tanya feels that to be a successful member of the GSG, you have to be open, receptive, and able to listen. In her personal life, she practices that listening ability as a self-taught pianist who plays by ear.
