Mohammed has over fifteen years’ experience in the Oil & Gas sector with a career spanning Reservoir Engineering, Consulting and Investment Banking. Prior to joining KPMG, Mohammed held a subsurface asset management position for Petroleum Development Oman where he was responsible for delivering field development and business planning activity for up to thirty oil and gas fields, producing in the region of 65,000 barrels of oil per day.
Prior to 2013, Mohammed was Vice President of Energy Investment Banking for FirstEnergy Capital. During his career in banking, Mohammed has advised and completed on multiple merger, acquisition and divestment transactions in the Oil & Gas sector in Europe, Africa, Asia and South America, and has developed a deep understanding of Upstream M&A market activity and dynamics.
Previously, Mohammed was a senior member of the reservoir engineering team at Maersk Oil where he focused on the development of Qatar’s largest offshore oilfield. He began his career at Total S.A, where he was responsible for reservoir surveillance and monitoring of the mature Alwyn North and high pressure-high temperature Elgin Franklin fields, located on the U.K. Continental Shelf.
In addition to his role at KPMG, Mohammed volunteers as an Enterprise Advisor working with the Mayor’s Fund for London, which has the ambition to help young Londoners in many of the capitals’ most disadvantaged communities develop skills and unlock opportunities, with the aim of helping young people to escape the threat of poverty and play a full part in London’s future.
