José Luis is the Global Head of KPMG’s Sustainability practice and is a Partner at KPMG in Spain where he not only leads the Sustainability Services practice but is also the Head of Governance, Risk and Compliance. He also serves as KPMG’s Regional Leader of Sustainability Services for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
José Luis joined KPMG in Spain in 2003 after working in the third sector, and was appointed a Partner in 2008. In his KPMG consulting work, he advises major Spanish companies on how to incorporate the risks and opportunities of environmental and social megatrends into their corporate strategies. He has played an active role in many well-known sustainability initiatives and organizations including the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), Integrated Reporting (), World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).
Masters in Business Administration, Executive MBA from IE Business School, Madrid (Spain).
Degree in Chemistry, Universidad Complutense de Madrid (Spain).
Representative of the Spanish Institute of Financial Analysts (IEAF) on the Commission on Environmental, Social and Governance Issues (CESG) of the European Federation of Financial Analysts Societies (EFFAS).
