Diego Bojorquez

Senior consultant

KPMG en México

During his childhood, Diego became a semi-professional football player in Mexico. However, while pursuing a business degree, Diego realized he would be better suited to become a strategy consultant as he could leverage his problem solving and analytical skills and help organizations achieve growth. After graduating from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education (ITESM), Diego started working with KPMG in Mexico’s Global Strategy Group. On every project, he has acquired new skills and developed considerable content knowledge across a diverse set of client industries and issues. He says that the ability to advise an established client with decades of experience and still add value makes the job so unique. In his time with GSG, Diego has travelled extensively. In his opinion, expanding his global perspective has greatly strengthened his work as a strategy practitioner. One of the most rewarding project experiences for Diego was an in-depth analysis of the energy market in Mexico, in light of new regulations being introduced. This gave him the opportunity to engage directly with regulators, learning about the market first-hand while also influencing its future direction. To stand out in GSG, Diego’s advice is to take on as much responsibility as possible. Confidence is paramount for practitioners – however, it must be coupled with a humble attitude and a drive to learn new things.
