Rabya is a Principal Regulatory Advisor and a leading subject matter expert in a number of areas of regulation, most well recognised for her work on the market abuse regime. She has led a number of high profile projects which have received international press coverage. She is frequently called upon to deliver regulatory seminars and technical training sessions both in the city of London and for firms across Europe. Her clients include global investment banks, brokerages and energy commodity firms. She has helped clients to respond to regulatory investigations and market manipulation scandals, including benchmark interest rate manipulation investigations. She has delivered a number of complex regulatory change projects including MAR and MiFID II impact assessments for global investment banks. She assists firms in preparing for inter-related regulatory requirements across the conduct spectrum in a way which is time and cost effective through understanding the synergies between these requirements. She has spent time with regulatory bodies including within the Supervision Division of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the energy market regulator, OFGEM, on the implementation of the Regulation on Energy Market Integrity and Transparency (REMIT). Prior to moving into consulting, Rabya worked in the financial services industry including on the emerging markets equities desk of an investment bank and at the London Stock Exchange.
