Melissa is UK Head of Risk Consulting and a member of the Advisory Leadership Team. She is a lead partner in our Capital Markets practice with a focus on prudential services, business resilience and change. She joined KPMG in 2011 as a Partner in the Financial Services Risk Consulting practice, and brings 20 years of capital markets experience, working across three continents. Prior to joining KPMG, Melissa held senior level roles in both the front and back offices of large universal banks, including Managing Director and London controller of a global bank. Here she was responsible for the financial and regulatory reporting for 100 entities with circa $1trillion in assets. She led her team of 100+ people in London, Singapore and India through significant departmental change. Melissa has lobbied actively for regulatory change, representing the industry as Chair of the Accounting Committee of the International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA). She spent her first 9 years in the Audit and Business Advisory practice of a Big 4 firm. Her significant transaction advisory work included IPOs, business combinations, due diligence and privatisations. Melissa has also served as European Head of Financial Operations for a global energy trading company.
