Devastating natural disasters are occurring all around the globe with increasing frequency, exacerbated by climate change. They affect everyone at KPMG - our people, our communities and our business - with the greatest impact felt by those who are least resilient.

KPMG International and KPMG member firms have been involved with a number of significant relief and recovery efforts. Following a disaster, member firms will typically organize fundraising efforts. Funds raised are then channeled through our preferred NGO and development organizations, including the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent societies.

KPMG International, our network of member firms and our people have donated US$20 million to global appeals to help people recover from disasters. For example, in 2017 we raised US$2.6 million to help people recover from the Americas hurricanes, the South Asian floods and the Mexico earthquakes. In 2018 we raised close to US$1 million to help people recover from the floods in Kerala, India.
