Pavan has spent over 20 years working in industry and practice in range of roles from financial planning, business development to internal audit for Fortune 100 companies including Diageo and Intel and in transactions with PwC and KPMG

Pavan joined KPMG Nigeria as a Partner in Deal Advisory in October 2012.He is also co-head of Consumer Goods Deal Advisory and Co-lead Partner for Abraaj across Sub-Saharan Africa. He has had substantial experience advising PE/Corporates across manufacturing, insurance, consumer goods, healthcare and financial services sectors both on the buy-side and sell-side. He has also carried out market entry studies for Corporates looking to enter Nigeria.

Pavan started with KPMG in 2009 in the Middle East (Saudi Arabia/Kuwait/Jordan) advising leading/global PE firms and corporates across a range of sectors on buy-side and sell-side transactions as well as large family groups on their plans to list on the stock market. Sectors included manufacturing/industrial, consumer goods (QSR) and consumer finance. He was responsible for building KPMG’ Deal Advisory business in Al Khobar in Eastern province. He built relationships with some of the largest conglomerates and family groups in the region.

Before joining KPMG, Pavan was a Director in PwC’s Deals team in the London covering Industrials. He has advised Corporates and PE houses both on the buy-side and sell-side including the likes Carlyle, TPG Capital, and 3i across a range of sectors. He also worked on special bid-defence projects .

Prior to PwC, Pavan has had extensive Corporate experience with Diageo (world’s largest premium drinks company) where as part of the MBA rotation in Finance he was part of a team involved in JV deals in Russia and India; and Intel Corp including a six month secondment to the US. Post his MBA, Pavan spent a year at Bear Stearns, US investment bank in the London office covering the TMT sector.
