As a leadership team & the KPMG values we are committed to, we are now looking to the future & to helping re-build our community & lives in the BVI.
As a leadership team we are now helping re-build our community.
During November and December 2017, KPMG BVI supported a long standing local initiative, ‘Tree of Hands’, to collect gifts for children in the BVI who would otherwise be left without a present on Christmas day. After the devastation caused by hurricane Irma, it was clear that many more children would be left without gifts. KPMG responded by sending out an interactive ‘Tree of Hands’ to colleagues, clients, friends and partners who could select a gift via an Amazon wish list for various ages with the gifts delivered directly to KPMG. Thanks to the generous time and donations of everyone that supported KPMG and our call, at least 750 children in the BVI will have a reason to smile this Christmas. It is estimated that over 1,000 children will be at the Tortola Pier Park on 16 December 2017 when the gifts are distributed. With the support of other local businesses in the community, we are confident that every child will receive a gift and leave happy.
The BVI and Cayman managing directors and partners will be donating gifts for a KPMG internal raffle to raise funding for the BVI. The gifts donated include a weekend yacht sailing trip and flights to the BVI.
An annual tradition in the BVI and Cayman, this year’s funds will be used to support selected charities assisting the BVI in getting back to its feet. KPMG staff will be encouraged to ‘dress down’ and make a statement while also contributing to the BVI charities.
KPMG is hosting a Charity golf day in the BVI and Cayman to help raise awareness and funding for selected charities currently benefiting the BVI after the devastation wrecked upon it by Hurricane Irma and Maria.
