Acquisition Expands KPMG’s Ability to Transition Clients to Next Generation Identity and Access Management Systems.
KPMG LLP completed its acquisition of the Identity and Access Management (IAM) business of Cyberinc, one of the world’s largest independent IAM technology providers. The acquisition enhances KPMG’s existing capabilities as a leader in information security consulting services* and expands the firm’s ability to provide clients with emerging and more agile IAM solutions.
“The addition of Cyberinc’s talent and technical expertise in identity and access management fortifies KPMG’s ability to aid clients in the transformation of their businesses through technology,” said Tony Buffomante, U.S. Leader of KPMG’s Cyber Security Services practice. “We are excited to continue to advance our services in the new and rapidly growing area of Digital Consumer Identity with the addition of Cyberinc’s knowledgeable professionals and software solutions that we will bring to market.”
Cyberinc’s IAM business is a 190-person global team with significant presence in the U.S., India, Australia, and the U.K., and extensive experience providing advisory, strategy, implementation services, and managed services for organizations that need to transform their enterprise or consumer identity capabilities.
“Cyberinc’s IAM team has enjoyed an unrivalled track record of some of the largest IAM implementations for global corporations,” said Samir Shah, CEO, Cyberinc. “As the Cyberinc IAM team transitions and integrates with KPMG, I am confident that they will scale many more milestones in the future. I wish them all the best.”
KPMG’s strong position with information security alliance partners Oracle, Sailpoint, CyberArk and Ping Identity is augmented by the transaction with Cyberinc to better enable information protection for large enterprises while pursuing new digital interactions with employees and customers.
"Identity & Access Management is an essential component of cybersecurity for enterprises as they are under relentless and increasingly sophisticated threats that target coarsely set, outdated, and missing access policies. IAM is also equally important as a business enabler supporting enhanced productivity, improved operational efficiency, and business initiatives that are dependent on reliable identity-based access control mechanisms,” said Tim McElligott, Senior Consulting Analyst at Stratecast | Frost & Sullivan. “KPMG’s continued investments in IAM reflects its commitment to serve an escalating enterprise need.”
Cyberinc is a subsidiary of Aurionpro Solutions Limited - a global technology product and solution provider, headquartered in Mumbai, India and San Ramon, California.
