Netherlands: Extended FATCA and CRS reporting deadlines

The tax authorities in the Netherlands announced extensions to the 2018 reporting deadlines for returns related to the FATCA and common reporting standard (CRS) regimes.

  • For financial institutions that are only subject to the FATCA and/or CRS reporting regimes, the deadline has been extended to 1 August 2018.
  • For financial institutions with investment and loan products that are subject to the FATCA and CRS regimes and that are also subject to Dutch domestic reporting regimes, the deadline has been extended to 6 February 2018. 
  • For financial institutions with payment and savings products subject to the FATCA and CRS regimes, the deadline has been extended to 1 May 2018.
