Guidance released in late December 2016 concerns implementation of the automatic exchange of financial account information in tax matters.

The guidance is intended to help the financial institutions in determining their obligations under the common reporting standard regime, and provides clarification on the matters of identifying reporting financial institutions and reportable accounts, application of due diligence procedures, and the preparation and submission of the declarations. The government also released self-certification forms templates.
