While deal volume dropped compared to Q2, VC-backed investments year-to-date were 11% higher than all VC-backed investments in 2014, and 100% higher than all investments in 2013. In the US, it was the rise of the mega-rounds with $100M+ rounds to VC- backed startups roaring to a new high. Q3’15 saw 37 $100M+ rounds to VC- backed companies, a rise of 125% compared to the same quarter last year.
