A housing finance agency sought to develop and implement a modern financial services information technology environment to better manage and mitigate counterparty, asset, and borrower risk. KPMG assisted the agency in providing business transformation services, including business process reengineering, operational change management, and system implementation services to develop and deploy and enterprise-wide platform for listing, monitoring, and reporting risk from all counterparties.
We developed a transformation road map, which provided a sequenced approach for reengineering business processes and developing and deploying IT systems to support these reengineered processes. In building new systems, we modernized and transformed nearly 80 percent of their business processes. Through the use of data analytics, we were also able to identify redundant business processes across legacy mainframe applications. Additionally, we developed change and risk management strategies to help this agency evaluate and manage the impact of the process changes.
